Technology should make dental care easier to understand, easier to plan, and more comfortable to receive. At David L. Baker DDS PA, our Plano dental office uses confirmed dental technology to help Dr. Baker evaluate oral health concerns, plan treatment, and create selected restorations with precision.

Our technology suite includes Sirona 3D Imaging, also called Cone Beam CT or CBCT, CEREC Same-Day Technology, digital X-rays, and a soft tissue laser.

Sirona 3D Imaging and CBCT

Sirona 3D Imaging gives Dr. Baker a more detailed view than standard 2D imaging in many situations. Cone Beam CT can help evaluate teeth, bone structure, nerve pathways, sinus areas, and implant sites in three dimensions. This can support diagnosis and treatment planning when a more complete view is needed.

Not every patient or procedure requires 3D imaging. Dr. Baker will recommend CBCT imaging only when it is helpful for your care.

Digital X-rays

Digital X-rays help Dr. Baker review areas that cannot be fully seen during a visual exam. Images may be used during routine exams, emergency visits, restorative treatment planning, and follow-up care when needed.

CEREC Same-Day Technology

CEREC technology can be used for selected restorations, including crowns, veneers, inlays, and onlays. Digital images are used to help design a restoration that fits the tooth and supports the bite. When clinically appropriate, CEREC may reduce the need for temporary restorations or additional visits.

Soft tissue laser

A soft tissue laser may be used for selected gum-related procedures and comfort-focused treatment planning. Whether laser treatment is recommended depends on the area being treated, the clinical findings, and Dr. Baker’s evaluation.

Do all patients need 3D X-rays?

No. 3D X-rays and CBCT imaging are recommended on a case-by-case basis when they can help with diagnosis or treatment planning.
